Money Game

Drop & merge money puzzle

Drop coins into the jar and merge matching money. A penny becomes a nickel, then a dime... all the way up to a $100 bill. Try Exchange mode, which counts like real change, or play with Japanese yen.

The game screen. Bills and coins fill the jar, and “4 Combo!” appears

How to play

Play with one finger. No account needed.

1

Move, then let go

Slide left or right to choose where to drop, then lift your finger to drop the money.

On a computer, use the mouse, or the ← → keys and the space bar.

2

Match to merge

When two of the same money touch, they turn into the next one up. “Next” at the top right shows what drops next.

3

Don't let it overflow

If money stays above the dotted line at the top of the jar (about 3 seconds), the game ends. You'll see “Almost full!” when it gets close.

Two ways to play

Pick one on the home screen. Your best score is kept separately for each mode and currency.

Merge

Two of a kind make the next one

Two of the same money merge into the next one up. The money you make adds up as “Earned.” Bigger money adds up fast.

When two of the biggest money ($100 bills or ¥10,000 bills) touch, they go to the bank: they leave the jar and you get a bonus.

Exchange

Real change, real counts

Five pennies make a nickel, two nickels make a dime. When the right coins touch, they are exchanged, just like real change. Exchanging doesn't add money, so your score is everything you put in (“Saved”).

Every exchange shows how it works, like “penny 1¢ ×5 → nickel 5¢,” so counting money starts to feel natural. Once you make a bill, bigger coins start dropping too.

Exchange recipes (US dollars)

1¢ ×5→ 5¢
5¢ ×2→ 10¢
10¢ ×2 + 5¢→ 25¢
25¢ ×2→ 50¢
50¢ ×2→ $1
$1 ×5→ $5
$5 ×2→ $10
$10 ×2→ $20
$20 ×2 + $10→ $50
$50 ×2→ $100
$100 ×2→ Bank

Exchange recipes (Japanese yen)

¥1 coin ×5→ ¥5 coin
¥5 coin ×2→ ¥10 coin
¥10 coin ×5→ ¥50 coin
¥50 coin ×2→ ¥100 coin
¥100 coin ×5→ ¥500 coin
¥500 coin ×2→ ¥1,000 bill
¥1,000 bill ×2→ ¥2,000 bill
¥2,000 bill ×2 + ¥1,000 bill→ ¥5,000 bill
¥5,000 bill ×2→ ¥10,000 bill
¥10,000 bill ×2→ Bank

The money ladder

Only small coins drop. You get bigger coins and bills only by merging or exchanging.

US dollars (1¢ → $100 bill)

Four kinds drop: 1¢ to 25¢.

Japanese yen (¥1 coin → ¥10,000 bill)

Five kinds drop: ¥1 to ¥100. The ladder at the bottom of the screen lights up to the biggest money you made in that game.

How combos work

When one merge sets off another, that's a combo. It's the best feeling in the game.

  1. 1.New money from a merge appears a little small, then grows to full size and pushes nearby money around.
  2. 2.If it rolls into the same money, they merge again. Within 0.9 seconds of the last merge, it counts as a combo.
  3. 3.From the second merge on, you'll see “2 Combo!”, “3 Combo!” and the merge sound goes up a step each time.
  4. 4.At 3 combos, the jar glows and sparkly notes join the music.

Tip: stack the same money close together, so one merge leads to the next. Placing the next-smaller money right above a bigger one helps too.

Helper items

Tap an item button below the jar (to the right of the jar on iPad) to see what it does, then choose Use or Cancel. Each item can be used once per game. You get them from daily gifts, missions and your savings.

Choose

Pick the money to drop from 3 choices. The one likely to merge gets a gold arrow, and matching money in the jar glows.

Remove

Time stops. Pick any 2 coins to remove them. If you haven't removed one yet, tap again to cancel.

Bills can't be removed.

Shake

Shake the jar to move stuck money. You can also shake your iPhone or iPad while the item card is open.

Daily gifts

Play on days 3, 5 and 7 in a row to get items. Later days give stronger items. Miss a day and it starts again from day 1.

Today's Mission

A new goal every day, like “Make a $20 bill.” Clear it for a stamp. Collect 5 stamps for an item.

Your savings & titles

All the money you play adds up for each currency. Every $2,500 (¥250,000) fills your savings jar and gives you an item. You earn titles along the way, like “Penny Saver,” “Grand Club” and “Benjamin's Buddy.”

You can hold up to 9 of each item.

Happy moments

The more you play, the more there is to celebrate.

Your first bill

The first time you make a $1, $5, $10 or bigger bill in a game, it shows up big with “Got a $100 bill!” If it's your first ever, you'll see “First time!” too.

Milestones & new bests

Every time your money passes $100, $1,000, $10,000 and so on, you get a “Passed!” moment. Beat your best score and confetti flies.

The bank

When two of the biggest money touch, they leave the jar and go to the bank. That frees up space, so you can keep going.

Share your score

Turn your total and your biggest money into one image to save or send.

More

Almost overflowing?

When the jar overflows you can watch a video ad to pick 3 coins to remove and keep going (once per game; bills can't be removed). You decide whether to watch.

Colors, music & sounds

Four color themes: navy & gold, pink, green felt and cream. Each mode has its own music (bouncy pop for Merge, easy jazz for Exchange) that changes with the game. Coin sounds clink and jingle, or switch to softer pop sounds.

Open Settings with the gear on the home screen (or from Break Time).

Play anywhere

Play on iPhone and iPad (free, with ads). The app can remind you on gift days and has a Home Screen widget.
